Dr Kate Yarrow in Nepal with some young patients

Kate is a medical doctor in the UK, who founded Doctors For Nepal after working with the large international charity  Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) in Nepal from 2006 to 2007. Having experienced first-hand the plight of the Nepalese in the neglected and isolated far Western provinces, she felt compelled to try to continue improving the health care in these areas. She worked closely with Lalit (our first student doctor) and strongly felt that he was the perfect first candidate to be the supported by this charity. Kate hopes that by setting up Doctors For Nepal, communities will benefit from well trained doctors, and that the donors in the UK will have an active interest and involvement in the development of health-care in rural Nepal.
