| The team in Kalikot District |
JANUARY-FEBRUARY 2011
Kate Yarrow and a small team went to Nepal to undertake a health-care
needs assessment of family planning use in the remote district of Kalikot. It was a physically and mentally challenging
visit with some very interesting findings (to be on this site shortly). An agreement was also set up with Patan Academy of
health sciences pledging a Doctors For Nepal scholarship to support one new student per year. The trip was a success, and
served to drive us to support more student doctors - for which we require ongoing support.
